Hashgraph Joins DTC Digital Assets Solutions Industry Working Group

Hashgraph is proud to join the DTC Digital Assets Solutions Industry Working Group (IWG), which brings together more than 150 members across traditional finance and digital markets to support dialogue and alignment around the DTCC Tokenization Service (DTS) and broader digital assets developments.

As the development team behind the Hedera public, permissioned network, Hashgraph brings deep experience in enterprise-grade infrastructure, spanning tokenization, Layer 1 distributed ledger technology and cross-ledger protocols.

Hashgraph will contribute its perspective on industry readiness and standards, operational and technical workflows and the interoperability of DTC-tokenized assets across different chains. The Industry Working Group is intended to support continued industry dialogue and the broader evolution of tokenized markets. The scale of DTC’s existing infrastructure makes that work especially significant. DTC provides custody and asset servicing valued at more than ~$30 trillion in assets available to be tokenized at launch, including equities, ETFs, and Treasuries.

DTS enables participants to convert eligible DTC-custodied securities between traditional and tokenized forms, and transfer assets between registered wallets on supported digital networks, all within an institutional framework. We look forward to learning from DTCC’s deep experience in market infrastructure and from fellow working group members.

Tokenized financial market infrastructure requires control

Tokenized securities open up new ways to move assets and deploy collateral, but for regulated institutions, speed and programmability only matter if they come with operational oversight and control. Every action needs a clear owner: which team can initiate a transfer, which approvals it requires and how the transaction integrates with the existing operational systems.

At Hashgraph, our work covers a range of enterprise-grade products and solutions built for the future of finance, reflecting areas of expertise that we expect to bring to IWG discussions, including:

  • HashSphere (private, regulated infrastructure): HashSphere lets financial firms run private, permissioned networks for regulated workflows, with a path to connect to Hedera’s public network. Regulated institutions keep transaction privacy and compliance controls while still reaching public network liquidity.
  • CLPR (bridgeless interoperability): CLPR-powered applications are designed to move tokens, data, and messages across networks without bridges, pooled liquidity, or intermediary validator networks. That speaks directly to the bridge risk institutions worry about when assets move across chains.
  • Asseto (issuance and lifecycle): Built by ioBuilders and offered by Hashgraph, Asseto lets institutions issue, manage, trade, and settle tokenized assets from one modular platform, on either the public Hedera network or a private HashSphere. It gives custodians, brokers, and asset managers a way to handle tokenized securities without needing to build the stack themselves.

We have joined the DTC Digital Assets Solutions Industry Working Group to contribute our tokenization and public/private network and interoperability experience to discussions around the continued evolution of digital asset market infrastructure.

DTC-held securities were converted into tokens and used in real production trades on July 15, marking an important milestone ahead of the planned October 2026 launch of the DTCC Tokenization Service. Hashgraph looks forward to contributing its perspective to IWG discussions on industry readiness, operational and technical workflows, and interoperability across different chains.
